Omega Communications originated in 1976 as a 2 man Motorola Two-way radio service shop based out of Kelowna. It grew quickly into several locations across the valley, offering all facets of 2-way radio solutions. They later expanded into business telephone systems and services, a Rogers cellular dealership, wide-area paging networks and specialized wireless nurse-call and patient-tracking solutions for the healthcare marketplace. Many of these divisions have since been carved into separate companies, like Connect IT or Okanagan Telephone.
Omega currently has two locations for servicing the interior of BC, including a main office in Kelowna and a branch in Kamloops. Still with a wide range of radio centric solutions with a heavy focus on public safety communications and Wireless RF solutions for the monitoring and control of municipal water systems, and wireless voice and data solutions for the mining and exploration sectors.
